Run To Win Outreach Internship

Thank you for your interest in Run To Win!  Run To Win’s internship program is designed to meet your specific needs and expose you to non-profit ministry operations, including designing and coordinating programs, administration, public relations, networking, sharing the gospel, and developing a servant’s heart. 

 It is our hope for you to become equipped as a servant leader and apply your education and faith in a ministry environment.  By serving, you will be contributing to the Run To Win vision of outreaching to share the hope of the Christian faith through the vehicle of sports and the church, and to call people into a consistent commitment in their Christian walk.

 As an intern at Run To Win…

 You are encouraged to never stop listening, seeking, searching, and digging for knowledge. Be independent, ask questions, research our methods, practices, philosophies, and offer your own ideas and suggestions.  Use our staff as a fund of knowledge and an extension of God’s kingdom to help you in your walk with Christ.

 You are expected to be eager and willing to participate. You will be treated as a professional member of the staff.  Proper attitude and professional ethics must be displayed.

 Your internship with Run To Win…

 In cooperation with several universities, corporations, and churches, we have developed a professional internship experience.  It is our hope this experience should be one of value and learning for you, your university, and Run To Win.

 In addition to your university’s requirements, Run To Win also expects you to bring in and develop certain qualities, achieve the objectives set forth, and meet certain requirements.  These will enable you to understand our ministry and your role in the vision of Run To Win!

 Qualities of a Run To Win Intern…

• Commitment to the Lord and commitment to learn, become equipped, serve, grow, and be stretched in your faith.
• Freedom to express your heart, your faith.
• Initiative to be creative and provide input. 
• Character including honesty, integrity, self-discipline, humility, dependability, perseverance, empathy, gratitude, follow-through and a strong work ethic.
• Team-player yourself in order to develop winners on and off the playing field.
• Open to accountability and teachability.

  Objectives of a Run To Win Intern…

• Develop servant-leadership through motivating people and team-building.
• Develop effective and creative communication skills.
• Understand behind-the-scene operations (develop administrative skills).
• Exposure to other leaders, churches, and organizations.
• Being mentored in ways that will build biblical character.
• Opportunities to learn basic ministry skills through hands-on experience.
• We want to provide a safe and encouraging environment for you to SHARE your heart and  PRAY as a part of our team! 

 Requirements of a Run To Win Intern…

• Support general office procedures.
• Complete an individual PROJECT from the existing programs or propose a new project. The internship will be customized as much as possible to meet your needs and requirements.
• Attend all EVENTS (camps, outreaches, meetings) as required by your supervisor.
• Review one-on-one EVALUATIONS that will be completed by your intern supervisor with input from the entire staff.
• JOURNAL as an ongoing record of your internship experience and how God is working in your life through Run To Win.  You may submit your journal or write-up a summary report at the completion of your internship.
• VISIT a similar organization or church and benchmark.  Submit a summary report on your visit.
• Raise support as needed.  This is a support-based internship.  In addition, you are responsible for your own housing and transportation.
